The Fresh DSVC Site: A Modern Online Solution for Everyday Life.

For over 50 years, DSVC has worked to bring the creative community of Dallas together. This site is your daily helping of what's going on with DSVC—all in a single serve, no-mess package.

The site has been streamlined to focus on DSVC events but has also been designed to support community and member generated content in the future. The idea is to develop a site that isn't controlled by a single point of view. The goal is a site that evolves and reflects club members.

New Features:
- RSS feeds for the job board
- The ability to comment on articles
- The DSVC Museum (read more about it here)
- Archived meetings and news
- Easy publishing for multiple contributers
- Architecture built for future expansion

As you can see from the top navigation, several pages are not yet open. Phase one of the project launches a new design and opens the basic pages most members use. In phase two and three, other event and museum pages will be populated and launched. The finished site will become the central location for joining DSVC and renewing your membership. A member area will allow everyone to quickly pay dues, update contact information, and browse an updated member directory.

Special thanks to the good people at Marblehead with help from designer Jenny Bean, and web engineer Jordan LaMons. This small team has sacrificed nights, weekends, and billable time over the past three months to get this site launched. Each volunteer put an enormous amount of energy and expertise into making every detail perfect, from the foundation to the wallpaper. The next time you run into Marblehead and friends, be sure to shake their hand. Or better yet, hire them to help out on your next online project.

Great! This is a huge improvement.

I have not been able to log on as a member for months.

So how do I long in as a member on the new site? Am I missing something?

Mari, we will be introducing a new member login system along with more content early next year. Currently there is no privileged information on the site so logging in as a member isn't necessary.

Chris, there is no membership directory online right now, but it is in the works. In the meantime, if you are a current member, you can contact our secretary, Brandi (dsvc@dsvc.org) and she will get you a current list.
