In Memory of Mel Shanks
Articles
A man who lived life to the fullest and brought life to his many friends has passed. Mel Shanks died last Saturday evening of a heart attack in St. Augustine, Florida. Mel was 58 and had two wonderful daughters, Erin and Lindsey. He was an Associate Professor of Art at Flagler College. He had many friends in the DSVC during his many years in Dallas and was best known as "El Jefe" of the Los Batos Locos. He loved teaching, his friends, traveling, and adventure. But most of all, he loved life. Rough Archive: April 2006, Survey: Reading that inspires you
