Art Director

Small retail and real estate advertising and marketing agency in downtown Dallas is seeking a Creative Genius and Design Guru for a full-time position. This person must possess mad conceptual design skills yet still see projects through full art direction. Presentation is everything so be sure you have an exceptional book with work in interactive and print. Retail or real estate experience is not necessary but a plus. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with the account management team to fully understand the client's situation and requirements
Gain an understanding of the target audience and business objective for the campaign
Generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfill the client's brief
Pitch ideas to clients and interact directly with clients in fulfillment of creative as warranted
Produce sketches, storyboards or comps to communicate ideas to the client
For printed and digital deliverables, must be able to fully produce the final computer files or mechanicals (with support from a production artist) and oversee the finished product.
Oversee the work of designers, illustrators, and other freelance or contract personnel as required
Commission photographers, artists or film-makers to work on projects
Attend meetings at production houses and with other directors
Understand production possibilities and limitations, both technical and monetary of various print and collateral production methods
Work well with vendors
Work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines
Work and collaborate well in a team atmosphere

 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Must have a wide variety of computer, technical and creative skills. (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
