Sr. Graphic Designer

Uniden is a Tokyo, Japan based manufacturer and marketer of consumer electronics products specializing in cordless telephones, 2-way radios, marine radios, CB radios, scanners and more.   Uniden America Corporation headquartered in Fort Worth, TX is responsible for marketing, sales and distribution for North American markets.  Uniden’s products are widely distributed across both traditional retail and online merchants.
 
Position Description:
The position is within the Marketing team and reports to the Creative Director. We are looking for a highly creative and self-motivated senior level graphic designer. As the senior graphic designer you will be responsible for the design and execution of both print and digital marketing materials such as display boxes, POP materials, product spec sheets, POP displays and web graphics. Internally you will work closely with sales, marketing, industrial design, and our Asian based package design team.  Externally you will coordinate with resources such as photographers, language translators, and vendors. You must have the ability to create visual design solutions which align with Uniden’s marketing strategy and effectively communicate the brand’s value equation to consumers.  Speed of technical execution is critical as well as the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.   
 
Responsibilities:

• Concept and design work:  consumer packaging, consumer/trade ads, tradeshow booth graphics, web ad banners, web support graphics, product brochures, corporate event t-shirts, product spec sheets and other digital or print solutions.
• Coordinate and manage photography, copy writing and production for all advertising/design collateral with external resources.
• Create graphics to meet specific in-store promotional needs.
• Work within budget constraints, handle quotes, invoices and purchase orders.

 
Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in communication design or commercial/ad arts or graphic design.
• A minimum of 5 years design experience within a creative services group
• Extensive knowledge in Adobe CS software
• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Macromedia flash and other web design software is desirable.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to follow schedules
• Attention to detail both creative and technical.
• Ability to think creatively and handle many tasks.
• Positive attitude with flexible thinking.
