Jr. Web Designer

The Jr. Web Designer’s primary responsibility is to create and develop fresh and dynamic graphic concepts for the cinemark.com website. This position also manages smaller design jobs and assists the Graphics team with various projects. Specific duties include:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Website maintenance and design - The implementation and modification of existing design elements, creation of new web graphics, site maintenance and content management
• Ensures consistent graphics throughout the Cinemark website with a focus on style and flow while adhering to Cinemark brand standards and guidelines.
• Ensures that graphics used do not adversely affect bandwidth.
• Ensures accuracy of content by thorough editing and cross-checking.
• Weekly/daily website updates as requested.
• Creation of the monthly Cinemark online newsletter, Vitascope. Digital signage design and maintenance including: digital posters, exterior digital signage, kiosk posters, concession LCD design and maintenance.
• Video production and editing Including: LCD digital concession board animation and slide creation and animation.
• Extremely detail oriented with excellent time/project management and problem–solving skills.
• Meets all deadlines as outlined in department schedule.
• Takes ownership of projects from concept to completion.
• Attend and interact in meetings as necessary.
• Design and sending of Cinemark Weekly Email.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Creative Suite 4, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Fireworks
• Proficiency with DHTML, ASP.net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML/XSL, JSP.
• Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere a strong plus.
• PC Platform.
• Web production/webmaster experience with a mid-to-large size organization.
• Experience with web content and editing and site analytics using Google Analytics.
• Must be skilled in planning, prioritization and working in an energetic, fast-paced environment.
• The ability to multi-task and determine priorities on a real-time basis.
• Ability to scope and manage multiple projects, as well as drive them to completion on time.
• Knowledge of internet best practices.
• Quick learner, self-starter, self-directed and independent thinker with excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
• A proven team player with the ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding of fundamental design disciplines and principals and experience with typography, composition, and color.
• Requires a Bachelor degree in Graphic Design or related field.

Qualified candidates for this position should provide a portfolio of sample URL’s that show proficiency with web design concepts. Applicants without a portfolio will not be considered.
